Organic Milk Organic Butter with Cocoa - Ukraine

We weren't sure what to expect with a 'butter with cocoa' but it's truly mind-blowing. It's not cocoa butter... it's not chocolate spread... it's completely and divinely its own Thing!

Good grief, you guys. 2021 was NOT our year! We've had this marvellous little beauty tucked away for far too long and it deserves to shine! Please enjoy our tasting notes of the day which are NSFW and include (quite frankly) appropriate levels of profanity:

So, naturally, we hastened to write up the review and post it for you... nearly 14 months late. Forgive us!

Butter Evaluation

In which we discuss Organic Milk's Organic Butter with Cocoa.

We will not entertain debate as to wether or not this it textbook butter as it is MAGNIFICENT. Granted, it's not Everyday Butter but we could eat this with a spoon. Quite literally.

Look at that. It's a beautiful mix of fudge and brownie batter... but it somehow manages to remain textbook butter. It's the typical Organic Milk sweetcream butter - spreadable and light and rich but also has that extra oomph of perfectly balanced, slightly

sweetened chocolate.

We'd sub this for Nutella any day. Organic, no palm oil and less death for the nut-allergy-sufferer on staff. Not to mention it has the same price point as the other Organic Milk butters available here. Look at the squidge! If you have any baking or recipe ideas that this could benefit from, please do get in touch. Otherwise we'll be grandly overdoing it in spite of all our New Years Resolutions.

Final Rundown

This is the first chocolate butter we've come across and it is an utter triumph. It should definitely be prescribed its own category but no one is perfect and the rest of the butters will just have to compete with this one.

Colour: Translucent brownie batter.

Aroma: Faint hint of chocolate on a bed of cream.

Taste: OMG, YOU GUYS. Chocolatey and milky and slightly sweet and clean. You cannot taste a single calorie. And yet... you can taste THEM ALL.

9/10*

*This is our first chocolate butter at it's hardly fair to try and compare it to others. This score reflects the fact that I refuse to let anyone else in my house even KNOW about it, let alone try it. And don't you tell them either.
